Millar College of the Bible Mission Trip
Day 2 in Mexico! We are so grateful to be here in Progreso, Mexico
We are a team from Millar College of the Bible. Eight college students together with our family will spend the next 25 days serving here in the Yucatán.
Today we spent the day at the base with Gary and Joanne Edwards. Devotions this morning focused on the Good News of salvation. 1 Peter 1:20 says, “God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.” It was such a good reminder as our team spent most of the day learning a creative arts program to share the Gospel in a compelling way. The program is titled “Choices.” It explains that each one of us has a choice to make; either to believe and accept Jesus, or reject Him.
In the afternoon, part of our group organized bags of donated clothes and toys to be distributed after programs. And others cleaned up the craft and face painting supplies.
Personally, I am excited by what I saw today. Good attitudes – even in the heat. People taking risks and leaving their comfort zone. Encouragement as people struggled, then succeeded. Grace given, as we tried one more time to get it right. Leaders stepping up. Students serving each other. Gifts being used to build up one another. This is the body of Christ in action. What a privilege to be able to serve alongside this team.
