Westpointe Church - Day 8
Today at breakfast William was brave enough to share his heartfelt testimony, and Matthew shared the devotional of the day.
After breakfast, we loaded into both vans, and set off on an hour and a half drive to where we explored some Cenotes!
When we arrived we got on bikes and biked to the first one. Walking down the stairs was a moment of realization for me personally on how breath-taking God's creation is! These caves were incredibly unique. Each one was beautifully crafted. That God made these, was just such an eye-opening adventure knowing that these were not man made. We went to 4 different cenotes, each different from the others, and then we ate at the restaurant there. Of course like every Mexican restaurant ever, we got tortillas to turn our food into more tacos. We then started the venture back to Merida. We made a little pit stop at a 17th century Hacienda originally used to manufacture sisal rope. Thus was an incredible experience. Then we headed back to the hotel for siesta and packing for our early flight the next day. For dinner, the amazing chefs made fajitas and rice, which was so scrumptious. Then we said goodbye to Joanne (because Gary would be driving us to the airport in the morning). We shopped a little and then headed to bed as we have an early morning flight.
