Westpointe Church - Day 7

We started the day off a little bit different than normal. We got to sleep in as it was Sunday. We had some wonderful people from the church make us some pancakes, eggs and sausage for our breakfast. Afterwards the worship team from our church had the opportunity to lead the worship for Calvary Chapel in Mérida. This was their English speaking service. The people were singing so loud. It was an amazing feeling. Pastor Garth preached the sermon for everyone and did a great job. 

After the service we went to a restaurant called Los Trompos. It was so good! Finishing lunch we were able to go to the downtown square of Merida where we were able to tour the oldest cathedral of North America! Following this we were able to go shopping at kiosks around the square where the majority of us go sourvenirs. Then we went back to the hotel for a swim and siesta time. Gary and Joanne picked up some pizza for us and we ate that at the church. We finished the day with a debrief of the entire week, where we all shared our God moments and what we loved about the week.
