OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The C-Quest board consists of a seasoned group of veterans from ministry and church leadership, as well as from the private and public sector. The Board provides critical governance and counsel to C-Quest staff as it develops and grows through its critical early stages. These men serve with bold faith and share the same desire as the C-Quest staff, to see Christ known by the nations and to see God’s name glorified.

Ron Kinniburgh - Board Chair - Ron, who is retired, served for 10 years as the Director of Operations at RockPointe Church (Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination) in Calgary. Prior to joining the staff of RockPointe in early 2010, Ron held various positions in his 30 plus years as a Petroleum Engineer in the oil
and gas industry in Calgary. Ron and his wife Shauna have four married children and ten grandchildren. In his spare time Ron loves to spend time with his family, read, garden and occasionally fish.

 

Murray Moore - Murray Moore – retired chartered professional accountant but still involved with many not-for-profit Boards.  His background of accounting and tax assist the Board in dealing with the potential issues of being a not-for-profit and in helping the Board fulfill its fiduciary duty with respect to oversite of finances.  Murray and Joan have two children and three grandchildren.  He enjoys reading, gardening, golfing and carpentry projects.

 

Brad Osborne - Brad Osborne, a petroleum engineer for over 30 years, runs a small oil and gas company in Calgary. Along with his petroleum career, Brad has been involved in real estate development. He is married to Linda and they have three children and three grandchildren. Together they served on one short-term mission trip to Mexico several years ago. Brad has a passion to see people trained and equipped to be disciples of Christ.

 

Rev. Dave Spate - David received his Master of Divinity from the North American Baptist Divinity School and his Doctorate of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. He began his ministry as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where God moved in wonderful ways in his life. He was involved in camping ministries, as well as city-wide and provincial ministries. Later he served for 23 years at Laurier Heights Baptist Church in Edmonton, first as a Youth Pastor and then Senior Pastor. David then moved to Calgary to be the Lead Pastor at Brentview Baptist Church for the next 19 years, where he had the joy of ministering right next to the University of Calgary. This allowed him to minister to future leaders, growing families in Calgary and too many locations around the world. Presently Dave is helping struggling churches find new hope and new exciting futures.  His greatest joy comes when he sees others doing well in their spiritual journey. David’s puts a high priority on his role as a husband and father, and has been married to his wife Kathy for over 40 years. They have three children: Michelle (& Kai) Anderson, Matt & (Kassi) Spate, and Mark.

 

Thomas Hudel - Thomas was first introduced to the work of C-Quest by participating in a short-term family mission trip with his 7 year old son.  This experience led to becoming a board member shortly after.  Thomas is married with two children. His wife worked in the social work field and they are currently engaged in their community as foster parents.  He is employed as a firefighter with the Calgary Fire Department, serving for the last 16 years.  Thomas' past experiences include being a team member for the University of Lethbridge men's basketball team while completing a degree in Kinesiology, and participating in a mission's trip to Brazil with Athletes in Action.  Thomas grew up on a farm close to Calgary. 

Troy Davidson - Troy has been a Cyber Security expert for 23+ years and has worked to help secure and safeguard many organizations in the Calgary area.  He and his family took part in one of the first C-Quest family trips in 2013 with his wife and two daughters.  The trip left such a remarkable impression on him that he has been part of the C-Quest team in a variety of roles ever since.  Troy served as part of the local team based in Calgary for a number of years before joining the Board of Directors.  Troy's brings perspectives on Strategy and Risk to the board in helping to further the amazing work being done in the Yucatan.

 

Marc Linteau – Marc is currently working as a credit manager for an oil and gas company and has been in the industry for almost 30 years. He is married to his wife Michelle and has three kids. He has served on previous boards and is currently involved with several ministries. Marc is a former member of the Canadian Bobsled Team and comes from a place of addiction and homelessness and has experienced the redemptive transformation from Christ. Marc has a deep passion to love and share the Gospel to the less fortunate.
