Today we ministered at the Emmanuel Foundation in Mérida with Pastor Miguel. The orphanage is home to six girls and four boys ages 4-13. Their parents are either in jail or addicts and can’t provide a home for their children. Without the safety of the orphanage they would be on the streets. There were quite a few kids and parents from the neighborhood there today as well, and they were very excited and happy to see us when we arrived. We did a 30 minute program for them, incl

Today we went to Camp John 3:16 to help out Pastor Gama and then to the local hospital with Pastor Miguel and people from his church. At the camp some of us picked up rocks from the field, others painted the bathroom, and some picked tomatoes. I picked tomatoes and truly enjoyed it. There were so many that were ready to pick, and because of the amount of people helping it went very quickly. The two employees there were very helpful and did a good job working alongside of us.

Today was our first day of ministry! After a full day of training on Monday, it was time to get out there and be a blessing! Our morning included serving pancakes at a seniors centre run by a Christian lady and several other volunteers. These seniors all have stories, with the prevailing theme being – most of them were abandoned by their families. They have nowhere to go. Today was our second day in Progresso and it was quite the day. We started our day, as per usual, with a devotional. What’s the day worth if you don't start it with God?
