Ministry Day 9 – Wednesday – Final Blog

It’s hard to believe that this was our last day doing our program and service projects. This trip has gone by so fast. This morning we started by doing a home makeover for a family that goes to Pastor Miguel’s church. People were painting everywhere – inside and outside – making sure every corner got painted in the limited time we had there. We had such a great time meeting and talking with the people of Pastor Miguel’s church. It was so cool to see a project of ours from start to finish. Once we finished they were so thankful. A little time and some fresh paint meant so much!

We also had the opportunity to share a meal with them and again build more community. It was a true blessing to be able to serve this family! We were all very thankful to have a siesta after the busy morning, before our next program.

We finished the day with our final program. At the beginning we were getting concerned about the program because an hour after the scheduled time there was only one little girl with us. We continued to wait, but after no one else showed up we walked around the town to advertise our program, praying that more people would come. When we arrived back, a crowd of people had joined us. We continued with the program, everyone putting their hearts into it – a great way to finish off.

Later, I had the opportunity to talk to a family that had watched our program. They spoke English, which surprised me, and we ended up having a great conversation. It was amazing to hear the goals and dreams of this family. God has blessed our team throughout this trip. It was amazing to watch everyone on our team grow and be impacted throughout the trip. Thanks everyone who supported and prayed for our team.
